Yes and No. You can place reservations for items with only one copy, and if they are “on loan”.
You can also place reservation for titles with multiple copies, but only if all the copies are “on loan”.
- How do I place reservations using the OPAC?
You should have a library account with us. This includes a username and password issued to you at library registration. If you need one, contact the enquiries/circulation desk staff.
You need to login to the OPAC using your username, search the items you want to reserve, select the tick-box against the title, click on Reserve, and click again on the Reserve button on the next page to confirm reservation.

- Can the clearance form be filled by the library while the student is on the stop list in relation to a delay in course fee payment?
Yes, as long as the student does not have an issues that needs to be settled with the library (these include, any items on loan, any pending payment for overdue /lost items).
Staff note: The note regarding the completion of clearance form should be added after the note on payment issue.
LOST ITEMS
- What happens if I lose a book while it is on loan to me?
You will have to replace the item. Overdue charges will accrue until you report the item as lost.
Next, the library will issue you with a “Replacement note” advising you replacement options for the item. The issue will have to be settled before you can borrow any more item.
- What happens if I find the book after I reported it as lost?
If the item was found and returned before settling the issue, the library will accept the book and your overdue charges for the items will be calculated up to the date you returned the item.
If the item was found after you have settled the issue with the library by replacing with a new item or with financial payment, the library will not refund the amount neither will it return the replaced item.
