The first batch of library students of Maldives National University graduated on 21 March 2011 making the MNU Library staff proud.
Fifteen students graduated having completed the 1 year (2 semesters) of Advanced Certificate in Library and Information Services (ACLIS) program offered by the Faculty of Arts of MNU.

MNU Library takes pride in this achievement mainly because the course curriculum was developed by the senior staff of MNU Library team including Aminath Riyaz, Aishath Shabana, Aminath Shiuna, & Athiyya Shakeel.
Secondly, in addition to Mr. Amaraweera, the library units of the course was taught by MNU Library staff Aminath Shiuna, Athiyya Shakeel, & Aishath Shabana on part-time basis on top of the regular workload at the library.
Thirdly, one of MNU Library staff members, Fathmath Nashfa, completed the course with an above average performance.
The MNU Library team takes this opportunity to congratulate all those who graduated having met the course requirements successfully. Also a big applause to Nasheeda Mohamed who won the first place in the ACLIS course 2010.
We are coordinating with the Faculty of Arts to introduce a Diploma level course in library studies and look forward to seeing all of you back with us soon.
